So, you like superheroes, eh?
I remember an old Lenny Bruce cartoon based on one of his stand-up routines called "Thank You Masked Man." It spoofs the Lone Ranger and ends with the title character trying to get together with Tonto for "An unnatural act." Funny stuff. And for years we've all heard the snickering about what's REALLY going on between Batman and Robin.
Now, with the upcoming release of Superman Returns, superheroes and their superfans everywhere are coming out of their superclosets. Read this article from last week's Los Angeles Times and all this stuff on Defamer then judge for yourself.
Could be the start of a new euphemism. Imagine this conversation taking place around the water cooler.
"Hey, you know that new guy, Joe? I think he likes superheroes a little too much. Know what I mean?"

Dig the website. Nice commentary, good judge of topics. I feel I agree with most of your opinions, but did you have to go there with Superman? or my fave, Batman...c'mon man, let me have a lil' fun in thinking that there is some good looking, mask wearing, vigilante, who just wants to make his dumpy city a little bit better. I live in a popular somewhat gay city...do you have to ruin my superheroes to?*
*This is no way shape or form meant to offend gay/lesbian people...I love you all, but from a straight white girl's perspective...there's not too many straight men in H'wood.
